Since 1979, Fifth Avenue closes to traffic for one evening to accommodate the Museum Mile Festival, a highly attended and esteemed annual event that opens museums’ doors to you with no charge. We hope you’ll join us this year on Tuesday, June 14th at 6 pm for a memorable outing devoted to art and culture.
Enjoy free admission to some of the world’s finest art collections during extended evening hours. There will be no shortage of exceptional art and cultural institutions, including the Africa Center, El Museo del Barrio, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Jewish Museum, Neue Galerie and the Museum of the City of New York. Museums will offer interactive activities, entertainment, art demonstrations, special kids’ activities and food vendors.
