Rise & Shine for Birding Bob! Catch those last glimpses of migrating birds — hosted by Katy

This ‘swan song’ tour of the season will be led by a Birding Bob associate, Deborah Allen, who is an expert on “the plumages of migrating birds.” After introductory remarks by Ms. Allen, the birding walk will tour Harlem Meer and then head up toward the wild, bird-loving North Woods, on to the Wildflower Meadow and then the Loch (the freshwater stream that runs through the woodlands). The 2.5-hour tour ends on the west side of the Harlem Meer pond. There’s plenty of time to rest and to ask questions, along the way.

Meet at the Conservatory Garden at 8:30 am at the "water spout." To find this spot, walk through the main gates of CG (enter at E. 105th street and 5th Ave) and down the main steps. Straight ahead at the end of the long lawn, flanked by crab-apple trees, is the "water spout" (that may or may not be turned on). Anyway, on spring mornings we sit on the north (right) side of it, just outside the men's restroom. (The ladies' restroom is directly south by 50 yards or so.)
