Hank members love animals, and here’s a chance to offer your help to pets in NYC shelters. And you don’t have to work with pit bulls! (I don’t!)

I’m Katy D, Ambassador, and I’ve volunteered many times with NYCAC. I like that only 6 hours a month is asked for over a 6-month period — that's not a lot of time.

There are two orientations this week — Wednesday, January 25th and Thursday, January 26th. Go to their website — nycacc.org — to sign up and for more information

You primarily interact with shelter pets to provide them with attention, comfort, and socialization to reduce stress, improve their health, strengthen trust with humans, and increase their adoptability factor.
My last volunteer session was playing with Guinea pigs!

Once you've registered, don't forget to press "Attend" here on the Event Page. That way, other members know you're attending- and you can chat on the Event Group text (or here on the event page) so you can go to one of the orientation meetings together.


**When you arrive at the event, find others by displaying the Hank Community Member badge on your phone screen. To find your badge, click [HERE](https://storage.googleapis.com/hank-app-assets/marketing/member-graphic-lg.png) Download it to your phone by pressing and holding your finger on the image, then selecting "Save to Photos" when prompted. Your badge will be saved to your Photos (where images are normally saved on your phone) so you can access it for future events.**
