Are you new to yoga? A passionate yogi who’s looking to jump back in after a hiatus? Recovering from an injury, but still want to move your body? Whatever your past experience - and present mobility level - we at Hank believe that movement is medicine, and the best dose is taken with a welcoming community of like-minded folks.
This 75-minute chair yoga class, taught by the experienced instructors at Upper West Side Yoga and Wellness, is designed to increase joint mobility and muscular strength, promote breath and movement synergy, and, most importantly, relieve some stress. You will have a chair for support while you learn the common poses of yoga. Don't let the chair fool you - you’ll still get a fulfilling workout with movement that is sometimes gentle, sometimes vigorous, and always helpful. Practice at your own pace and comfort level.
